At Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home, we believe a memorial service should be as unique as the person it honors. In fact, we take great pride in creating perfectly personalized services that capture the essence of you or your loved one. We find inspiration almost anywhere—in a song, a hobby, a trademark style, a defining philosophy or a lifelong passion—and turn that into a memorial service filled with thoughtful and meaningful details.

You’ll find there's no limit to the special tribute we can create, so your life—or the life of someone you love—is well celebrated.

In addition, we host community events annually in honor of our veterans and work closely with local veterans organizations. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran’s memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.

History

In 1917, Italian immigrant Louis E. Richards founded a funeral home in Bridgeport, Connecticut, based on compassionate service, sincerity and a dedication to helping families in their time of need. His business was purchased in the 1950s by the late Salvatore S. Spadaccino, who established the Richards-Spadaccino Funeral Home. As the Spadaccino family grew, the name was changed to S. Spadaccino and Sons and became one of the most respected funeral firms in the greater Bridgeport area.

Funerals and memorials for today's families

The years have passed and the names of our funeral home have changed, but the age-old traditions that our business was founded upon have endured. At Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home, serving families is still our primary focus. It is comforting to know that you can still trust us to be part of your family’s tradition, just as we have been for generations in the past.
